About Me

My name is Robin Cotter and I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 22 years. After having my son in 1998 I was 250lbs and suffering from postpartum depression. I was seeking a way to lose weight and in January 1999, I started taking Tae Bo classes at East Coast Karate. I knew I wanted to be an instructor 5 minutes into the warm up. I also knew that in order for that to happen I had to lose weight. I committed to taking classes and lost 100lbs in 6 months. I then started training with Sensei Lou Hopkins and eventually with Billy Blanks the creator of Tae Bo.

After getting certified as a Tae Bo instructor, I realized it was time to move on and begin to make a name for myself. I stopped teaching at East Coast Karate January 2007. While in deep search of finding my own identity in the industry, and doing some personal training, Body Rock by Robin was born. Now known as Body Rock Fitness By Robin. I changed the name to Body Rock Fitness because it’s so much bigger than Kickboxing for me now. I still love and will always teach BR Kickboxing, but during the pandemic I felt the need to get back into personal training.

After seeing the change in my clients physically and mentally through private training, I knew this too is part of my calling. I’m a woman who really understands the female body. I’ve been a size 6 & 18 and every size in between. I’ve been 135lbs & 250lbs and every number in between. I still fluctuate up and down with my weight. Yes I’m a trainer, but I’m also human.

If you’re tired of hiding in pictures or avoiding them all together, come see me. If you don’t like going to the gym, come see me. If whatever you’ve been doing isn’t working, come see me. If you’re not serious about putting in the work to get results. DON’T come see me!! In this studio, It’s all about teamwork.

Personal Training

This is a great option for someone who would prefer private one on one training. You will have the trainer’s full undivided attention. The training style is full-body HIIT with a focus on whatever areas of your body you feel need the most work. P/T is all about the client and everything is done at the client’s pace and capabilities.

If you feel more comfortable working out with friends or sharing sessions with other like-minded women. Then this is a good option for you and will help cut costs. Small group training is full-body HIIT workouts where everyone goes at their own pace.
